How to enable Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 in BIOS to install Windows 11

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is basically a security chip that has been designed to implement multiple firmware-based security functions. In other words, it is a secure crypto-processor that helps carry out cryptographic operations as well as physical security mechanism. The key operations include generating, storing and limiting the cryptographic keys, ensures platform integrity by taking essential security measurements.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a basic requirement of Windows 11 as previously it has been for Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 & 2019. The users upgrading their windows are asked to enable this function, otherwise deterred to proceed further without enabling it. Consequently, most of the users get frustrated and leave the functionality disabled and don't get upgraded for the new version or upgraded windows.

Below, I am writing the needed steps to enable TPM in your BIOS in order to cope with the problem and I hope it will help you upgraded for the new windows particularly for Windows 11 (2021).

Kindly take the following steps:

Step 1: Turn on your PC. If you are already using it, restart it.

Step 2: Now you need to get the BIOS menu, so, during booting up just hold down the F2 key in your keyboard.

Step 3: Once you are able to access BIOS menu, find the Security tab there and navigate to the tab using arrow keys in your keyboard.

Step 4: Here, you may find different security modules, not necessarily Trusted Platform Module (TPM) like AMD fTPM, Intel PTT etc. So, just toggle to Enabled.

Step 5: Now, you have solved your TPM enabling problem. Save your changes by pressing F10 and exit BIOS menu.

Hopefully, you are able to upgrade your PC and get enjoyed with Microsoft new and updated features.
